The validation of the project is; a certification of conformity; and contracting; of the project & rdquo;, issued by the contracting authority, in the person of the Sole Processor, following an activity; of technical verification (see law Legislative Decree 56/2017, Procurement Code, and subsequent amendments) carried out before the procedure for awarding the Works.

The verification, aimed at validation, accompanies the project in every phase (preliminary, final and executive), verifying the compliance of the design documents with the requirements set in the planning phase and their compliance; to current legislation (see the DPR 207/2010 Regulation where still in force). The verification can be entrusted to unit & agrave; external to the contracting authority.

For the validation of works whose work amount exceeds 20 million Euros, the verification must be compulsorily carried out by independent Control Bodies, accredited UNI CEI EN ISO / IEC 17020 by ACCREDIA.

With the guideline n. 1 of ANAC, implementing Legislative Decree 18/04/2016 n. 50 and Legislative Decree 56/2017, the subjects authorized to carry out the verification for the purpose of validation are divided as shown in the following table.
